Saturday, August 22, 9 am-2 pm
9 am - Ketchup If You Can 5k
10 am - Ketchup If You Can Kids Fun Run with guest appearance by Tommy Tomato!
10:30 am - Winners of 5k announced
11 am - Wiener dog race - yes, live Dachshunds!
12 noon - Salsa and Tomato Cake competition, Coloring Contest, Biggest Tomato Contest - judging
12:30 pm - Tomato Toss
1 pm - Winners of competitions/contests announced
1:30 pm - Wiener dog race winners announced
2 pm - Tomato Launch*
9 am-2 pm - Food, carnival games, farmers markets
*Dinners by pre purchased tickets only. Dinners provided by Sweet Beginnings Restaurant and Catering, Boyertown. Tickets are available at any Boyertown Area YMCA member service desk. Deadline to purchase tickets is 8/14/09. Tickets are $8.00 each. Each ticket purchase includes 1/2 roasted chicken OR vegetable lasagna (your ticket will state your choice), salad, roll, butter, ice cream and beverage. No refunds or exchanges. Rain or Shine. Pick up only at Boyertown Area YMCA William S. Hollenbach Center, 3065 N. Charlotte St., Gilbertsville, PA between 5:00 and 7:00 pm. Facilities provided to eat dinner on site.
*Tomato Launch - A tomato will be launched over the William S. Hollenbach Center building, landing on a numbered grid. The grid is numbered 1 - 729. Tickets can be purchased that correspond with the numbered grid. The person holding the ticket that matches the number the tomato stops/lands on wins one flat screen TV. Tickets can be purchased any any Boyertown Area YMCA center until 8/19/09 or at Tomato Blast. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. Launch/raffle is on Saturday, August 22 at 2 pm - rain or shine. You need not be present to win. One winner only. Ticket stub and photo ID must be presented to redeem the TV. Age 18 and older only. All decisions by Tomato Blast Officials are final.
