SCUBA Diving Instruction:

Ages: 10 and older
Dive into this lifetime sport with the area’s fastest growing PADI Dive Center. Earn your PADI National Geographic Open Water diver certification in as little as four weeks! Classes start monthly and certification dives are completed locally or on monthly trips to the Florida Keys. Instructed by Dave Valaika of Indian Valley Scuba. Scout Swimming Test:

A certified YMCA lifeguard will conduct a swim test for scouts that need to be tested for summer camps.

Th
e Boyertown Area YMCA staff will again be managing the Boyertown Community Pool for the Summer of 2010. Community Pool Season Passes can be purchased at the Member Service Desk at all three of the Boyertown Area YMCA facilities and at the Boyertown Community Pool when it is open. To purchase a season pool pass, Borough of Boyertown residents must provide proof of residency (driver's license, recent utility bill). Anyone 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to purchase a season pass. Season passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.

                  8/30 – noon-7 pm
                  8/31 – noon-7 pm
                  9/1 – 3-7 pm
                  9/2 – 3-7 pm
                  9/3 – noon-7 pm
                  9/4 – noon-7 pm
                  9/5 – noon-7 pm
                  9/6 – noon-7 pm

Open daily 12 noon-7 pm for the Summer Season 
(Including Memorial Day, Independence Day & Labor Day) 

Lap Swimming – 2 lanes available 5:30-7 pm daily.

International Association for Handicapped Divers:

Ages: 10 and older
Everyone can SCUBA dive with the IAHD-Americas Adaptive SCUBA Diving program. Designed to allow mentally, emotionally or physically challenged divers ages 10 and older to learn and enjoy the magic of SCUBA diving. Classes are taught year round by IAHD certified instructors. Students are taught in safe, non-competitive environment and proceed at their own pace. Divers earn IAHD Scuba Certifications upon completion of the program. Classes run year-round and there is no cost for this program. Family and private formats can be arranged at additional cost. Community Swim Time 10/2, 10/3, 11/6, 11/7, 12/4, 12/5, 3-4:45 pm:

Ages: All ages
Everyone is invited to bring their family to the YMCA for a FREE swim on the above dates, from 3:00-4:45 p.m. Children below fourth grade and all non-swimmers must be accompanied in the water by a responsible adult.

Recreational and Lap Swimming:

Ages: Grades 7 and older
Pick up a current pool schedule at the YMCA or check the schedule section on the website for times available for recreational swimming and the number of lanes available for lap swimming. Our policy for recreational swim time is: Children kindergarten age and younger must be accompanied in the water by a parent or responsible adult. Children in grades 1 through 3 must have parental supervision in the pool area. Non-swimmers must wear flotation devices and be accompanied in the water by a parent or responsible adult. Children in grades 4 and older may be in the pool area without a parent but must adhere to the swim test standards. All children 6th grade and younger must pass a swim test to swim in the deep end of the pool.
