Recreational and Lap Swimming:
Location: Daniel B. Boyer Center
For ages: 7th Grade and older
Pick up a current pool schedule at the YMCA Member Service Desk or see the schedules section of this website. The pool schedule will list times available for recreational swimming and the number of lanes available for lap swimming. Our policy for recreational swim time is: Children kindergarten age and younger must be accompanied in the water by a parent or responsible adult. Children in grades 1 through 3 must have parental supervision in the pool area. Non-swimmers must wear flotation devices and be accompanied in the water by a parent or responsible adult. Children in grades 4 and older may be in the pool area without a parent but must adhere to the swim test standards. All children 6th grade and younger must pass a swim test to swim in the deep end of the pool.

No Place For Hate Day, Tuesday, May 6:

The Boyertown Area YMCA, the Boyertown School District and local businesses will recognize No Place For Hate Day on Tuesday, May 6. Here are the ways the Boyertown Area YMCA will promote the day.
A Resolution of Respect will be displayed at each of our YMCA centers. You are invited to sign it.
No Place For Hate stickers will be distributed to members and guests.
A DVD produced by the Boyertown High School Students will play in all YMCA lobbies.
Staff and members will wear No Place For Hate T shirts.
The book, If Only I Had A Green Nose, written by Max Lucado will be read to all preschool child care participants
Special presentations:
Pine Forge Academy students will perform puppet shows and skits for childcare participants at the Gilbertsville Center on Tuesday, May 6 at 3:30 PM and 4:15 PM. All parents are invited to attend with their child.
The Boyertown School District students will perform a play "If Only I Had A Green Nose" at the Hendricks Family Center, on Monday, May 12, at 3:15 PM. All parents are invited to attend with their child.

Everyone is invited to bring their family to the YMCA for a FREE swim on the above dates, from 3:00-4:45 p.m. Other Saturdays and Sundays of each month, non-YMCA members
or program participants may swim by paying

Enjoy swimming, volleyball, wallyball, court sports, games, crafts, make your own sundae, a movie, earning or meeting some requirements for a Badge/Try-It, and breakfast. Inactive Cell Phone Collection:

The Boyertown Area YMCA is currently collecting inactive cell phones that will be recycled for future use. Anyone can donate to the cell phone drive by dropping off their inactive cell phone at one of the Boyertown Area YMCA locations - The Daniel B. Boyer Center at 301 W. Spring Street, Boyertown, the Gilbertsville Center at 144 Holly Road, Gilbertsville, or the Hendricks Family Center at 3065 N. Charlotte Street, Gilbertsville.
